This Cookie Notice explains how Auth Hero ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website and use our web or mobile applications (the "Site"). Because our business is based in California and our users are California residents, this notice is designed to help you understand how cookies may collect "personal information" under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit websites. These files store information such as your device identifier, site preferences, session info, or other tracking data.
We and our service providers may also use web beacons, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to recognize your device or browser. Under California law, cookies that identify (directly or indirectly) a device or person may be treated as personal information.
The following table summarizes the cookies and technologies we currently use. This list may change as our services evolve.
| Category | Purpose | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary | Enable core functionality (login sessions, security tokens, user preferences). These cookies do not track you for advertising. | Always active |
| Analytics / Performance | Measure how visitors interact with our Site (pages visited, errors, load times) so we can improve the product. Never used for advertising. | Off (opt-in) |
We do not use marketing, advertising, or cross-site tracking cookies. If this changes in the future, we will update this notice and require opt-in consent before activating such cookies.
Our mobile app may use local storage and device identifiers for authentication and session management. These function similarly to strictly necessary cookies. The app does not use advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking.
Under California law, we must inform you if we share or "sell" your personal information (which may include data collected by cookies) to third parties. Auth Hero does not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. If this changes, we will update this notice and provide opt-out mechanisms before any such sharing begins.
As a California resident, you have the following rights with respect to personal information collected by cookies:
Most browsers let you control cookie settings (block, delete, or alert before accepting). Use your browser's help menu or settings to manage this. Blocking or deleting strictly necessary cookies may reduce your ability to use certain features of the Site.
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal, which expresses your choice to opt out of sale or sharing of personal information. Our Services do not currently respond to the older Do Not Track (DNT) signal, as there is no industry standard for how to interpret it.
We may update this Cookie Notice from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated notice.
